Artist of the Year Competition

 

• – Dancers can sign up to compete for Artist of The Year as an add on to their registration.
• -Artist of the Year competitors must compete two solos, 1 for the Artist of the Year competition and 1 for Nationals Finals competition. Solos that are competed in the Nationals Finals competition must be solos that competed at an AOM regional event. AOTY solos are not considered for Overall Awards but are strictly viewed for the consideration of Artist of the Year. AOTY solos do not need to have prequalified at a regional event.
• – Artist of the Year Finalist must pay an entrance fee of $295 which includes Artist of the Year Solo, AOTY Attire, rehearsals, and General Admission Gala Ticket for the Dancer. Ability to upgrade ticket to dinner seating will be available. Artist Of The Year entry fees are lump sum fees. Performance awards are not applicable to this entry fee.  Artist of the Year contestants must still sign up for the convention.
• – All Artist of the Year contestants will perform with a guest musical artist in the closing show gala!
• – This award is based on dancers work in the workshop as well as their performance in the competition. AOTY will be decided the combined scores of their two solos plus the scores that they receive from faculty in classes throughout the week.
• – If a dancer wins the title of Artist of the Year the dancer will receive a full year scholarship to ALL AOM events, the Dancer will automatically receive ATP acceptance (for juniors/teens/seniors) and must attend 3 cities with AOM and maintain their Dance Studio commitments.  The Dancer will be representing the Dance Studio and needs to maintain their studio training of which they earned the title. 
• – At the Closing Night Gala, we will announce the Artist of the Year winners for each age group. The Artist of the Years will reperform their solos in the gala!
• – Artist of the Year Contestants do not need to have a registered teacher with them to enter the Artist of the Year Competition.
• – 1 Artist of the Year will be awarded in each Age Level.

Closing Night Dance Off

 

• – Top Scoring Groups from each age division will be selected to Dance Off at the Closing Night Gala for their Age Groups.
• – Winners will be announced at the Closing Night Gala
• – Limit of 1 studio per age group in the Dance Off.
• – Dancers who want to watch the show and Dinner must purchase a Gala Ticket.

AWARDS Certificates will be given to all winners towards Season 12 (2026-2027)

 

AOM CLOSING NIGHT GALA

This amazing event will feature all Artist of the Year contestants, specialty performances, Group Dance Off and more!

• – Dance Off, Artist of the Year winners and scholarship winners will be announced!
• – Tickets should be purchased in Advance because this event does Sell Out! Seating will be limited due to Restrictions.
• – Any Dancer who wants to attend must purchase a gala ticket, with the exception of Artist of the Year contestants.
• – Performances by out AOTY winners and top scoring group dances!
• – Outstanding Studio Awards
• – VIP Ticket & General Tickets will be available.
  General Admission Ticket: $50 + fees
  This is your basic ticket to get you in to see our Nationals Gala.
  Premium Table Seat Ticket: $150 + fees
  This ticket will get you a premium seat at a table with prime viewing for our Gala! This ticket also includes a meal that will be served at the Gala.
  Full Table Package: $1,275 + fees
  If you want to sit at a table to enjoy the show with your friends this table package is the deal for you! Each table sits up to 10 people and this package will include the premium table seat as well as a meal for every person seated.
