Introducing Art of Movement’s Assistant Training Program (ATP)! This is a pre-professional training program that aims to prepare its participants for the professional dance world. This program offers in-depth information on the convention and competition world, as well as insight into what dance can be like after high school. Regardless of the path you choose – be it studio, company, college, or professional industry – this program has something to offer.
Travel and train with AOM’s exceptional national faculty and begin building connections in the professional industry. Assistants in ATP will build lasting connections not only with fellow ATP dancers, but with the AOM faculty and industry professionals. All of these relationships will last well after our last city of the season!
ATP members will work closely with AOM faculty all weekend long, have access to exclusive ATP classes, and will perform on the Art of Movement stage in every city they attend. We will also be offering an ATP exclusive event this Fall in Austin, TX. We highly recommend each member attend this event. They also will have team clothing designed specifically for our Assistant Training Program.

- – Ages 10 to 20 by January 1, 2027.
- – Be proficient in 3 or more styles.
- – Must attend at least 2 cities in their entirety during season.
- – Video Submission link must include two solos in different styles. They must be posted to Youtube in the same video and it must be set to public or unlisted. If you do not have two solos please submit an improvisation/self-choreographed 1 minute 30 second solo in a different style, in addition to your solo.
- For Featured Assistant
- – Proficient in 4 or more styles
- – Must attend Season 11 NATIONALS or Exclusive ATP WEEKEND to audition to be considered for Featured Assistant.
- – Must attend at least 3 cities in their entirety during season.
VIRTUAL AUDITIONS WILL BE OPEN FROM APRIL 27, 2026 to JUNE 8, 2026.
ACCEPTED DANCERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED MONDAY, JULY 6, 2026.
All paperwork (sent to the parent’s email) needs to be returned to info@artofmovement.dance by August 3, 2026
This can be paid upfront and returned with the dancer’s paperwork in full by August 3, 2026, or this can be paid in three installments.

The program fee will include admission to ALL of our regional events (not required to attend all of them), Team Swag (ATP specific merchandise), ATP exclusive classes, lunch for one day of each event weekends, snacks throughout the weekend, and two performances that will be choreographed by Art of Movement Faculty.
Competition fees are not included. If you do compete your solo at one of our cities, you will be able to receive feedback from an Art Of Movement Faculty member.
More About the Austin ATP Exclusive Event:
- – Our exclusive ATP event will be held in Austin, TX at Pulse Dance Project November 20 – November 22, 2026.
- – There will be a $150 registration for this event which will cover the classes, choreography, lunch for one day, and extra supplies for team building activities.
- – Choreography for the season will be taught in-person at this event and posted to BAND for those who are unable to attend.
- – To be considered for Featured Assistant you must attend the ATP weekend or our Season 11 Nationals ATP in-person audition.
