
At the age of 16, Ryan burst into the industry spotlight as the assistant to famed choreographer Mia Michaels. Mia saw her perform a self-choreographed solo and immediately asked Ryan if she would work with her. She assisted the Emmy award-winning choreographer on projects throughout the country, including So You Think You Can Dance in the United States and Canada, before becoming a top finalist herself on season 8 of the show.
Her television performance credits began at age 17 on Dancing with the Stars, and since then she has built an incredible resume. In television, she has appeared on shows such asThe Academy Awards, The Emmys, The Voice, American Idol, Glee, House, American Music Awards, Video Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and more. She has traveled the world and performed with legendary artists such as: Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, J Balvin and Katy Perry. You can also see her on the big screen in Academy Award winning films La La Land and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Ryan is well known in the industry as a dancer/performer, but her first success as a young artist was actually as a choreographer. That continues to be a driving force in her life and her career. She has choreographed for artists such as Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Tate McRae and James Arthur and on NBC’s The Voice and American Song Contest. With an eye for seeing movement in an innovative and effective way, she thrives in any process where she can create and make an impact. The knowledge she has gained from being a versatile force in the industry for almost two decades is something that she also is passionate about sharing with the upcoming generations of artists.
