LA local Robert Prescott Lee has been involved in the professional LA dance scene for over 17 years. During this time, he has made a name for himself as a dancer/performer that can do it all.
Robert has performed with a panoply of reputable artists such as Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, JoDee Messina, Ashanti, and more. His portfolio includes work with choreographers including Wade Robson, Tina Landon, Stevie Ray Anthony, Paula Abdul, Keith & Sharon Young, Chris Dupree, Liz Imperio, and many more. Robert has worked on a number of commercials and has made it to the big screen in “The Son of the Mask”, “Rent”, and was a pre-production choreographer for “Kickin’ It Old Skool”.
His remarkable body of work and consistent professionalism has paved the way for him to choreograph and assist in several projects for film, television, and the like; in addition, he toured the world for two years with renowned Latin Artist Chayanne. He also appeared in commercials for Toyota Hylander, DirectTv Campaign, SoBe Life Water, and iPod. Though commercial dancing is a large part of Robert’s career, he is passionate about traveling, teaching, and watching his choreography come to life. He is also a firm believer that although technique is critical, it is your spirit that truly makes the performance.
In recent years Robert has made the transition to business owner, event director and producer. From various dance conventions, competitions and live shows, Robert has been building his reputation as someone who understands what it takes to put on professional and well managed event.
“I want to say thank you to all who have been apart of my dance career, no matter how small. I was taught at a young age to listen to everything and never take for granted your surroundings or experiences. On set I would study producers, directors and the choreographers. I’ve always been driven and dedicated to teaching up and coming dancers the ins and outs of what I have learned in the dance industry. My personal goal is for the Art of Movement to lead the way in providing a safe environment for dancers of all levels to come and experience an unparalleled dance education. A place to find the balance in life and dance. Find the love of one’s self through your movement and “bring the heART back to dance”.
