Alex Arnold Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance and Choreography from California State University, Long Beach, and is RYT certified in Yoga from YogaWorks. She has danced for Marie de la Palme in “Motion Tribe,” a modern dance company, and in the “JazzWorks” dance company, under the direction of Andy Vaca. Alex also co-directed and choreographed a full-length dance show called “Departed” for Direct TV, and co-choreographed “50 years of Rock-N-Roll” for the Legendary Bill Medley. Recently, she turned her attention to the exciting possibilities offered online, and was co-creator and on-screen talent for Elevation Studio’s hit web series, “Dancers, Off the Floor.”
Combining her passion for movement with a natural flair for comedy, Alex continues to perform around the world with the professional satire comedy magic act she developed with her father, Les Arnold. “Les Arnold and Dazzle” has allowed her the opportunity to perform, choreograph, direct and create in the world’s most famous theatres and on television specials throughout Europe. The duo’s credits include performing in the famous Princess Grace Theatre for the Prince of Monaco, opening for the late great George Carlin at the Comedy Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, and closing an “It’s Magic” tour appearing alongside Criss Angel. For the past five years they have worked closely with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra performing in their Pops Series program “Mysterioso,” alongside Pops conductor Jack Everly. They have toured Malaysia, Germany, England, France, China, and throughout the United States, most recently appearing on KTLA’s “Masters of Illusion.”
As an instructor, Alex’s caring, innovative approach is sought out in studios from Australia to Florida, from Canada to multiple venues in Southern California, including three years as a jazz instructor in the very selective dance program at her alma mater, California State University Long Beach. She continues to reach out in a variety of ways to the next generation of dancers, serving as a modern dance choreographer for seven years at the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts, and continuing to choreograph for high school teams throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County region.
Alex’s commitment to strong, ethical training led to the creation of Elevation Studios in 2008. This exceptional facility and company gives her the opportunity to combine all of her passions under one roof. Bringing the “heART” back into dance is something she is extremely passionate about. She shows her students every day that there are infinite possibilities and paths their dancing will give them. She truly believes “It may be impossible to be the BEST but you can always be and think DIFFERENT!” For Alex, this philosophy has resulted in an extremely successful career unlike any other!
